A quick & tasty mid-week meal that can be served with salad or vegetables.
Serves 2-3, 13g carbs/serve (3 serves)

500g/1lb | beef chuck steak (or you could use beef mince/ground beef) | 0g |
1 | medium onion chopped | 5g |
2 cloves | garlic crushed | 2g |
2 | rashers bacon chopped | 0g |
1 tin | crushed tomatoes (or 1 cup tomato passata) | 20g |
2 tspn | mixed herbs | 2g |
I tbspn | tomato paste | 5g |
1 tbspn | worcestershire sauce | 5g |
Total Carbs | 39g |
Heat 2 tablespoon olive oil in large saucepan.
Brown onion & garlic & add meat
(drain off fat if using cheaper mince)
Add bacon & other ingredients & mix well
Bring to boil & then cover and reduce heat to low & simmer for 1 ½ hr if using chuck steak or 20 mins if using mince.
Check liquid & add some beef stock if required but don’t make it too sloppy.
Serve with veges or salad or cauliflower rice
