Soy Chilli Chicken

This is a quick tasty Asian style meal. Honey can be omitted & this will greatly reduce carbs.

Soy Chilli Chicken

Makes about 2 serves, 10g carbs per serve.

Amount Ingredient Carbs
450g/1lb chicken thigh fillets 0g
1 medium onion 5g
2 cloves garlic 1g
1 tblspn finely chopped fresh ginger neg
20ml dark soy sauce 3g
10ml honey 10g
1 fresh chilli (hot or mild whatever you prefer) 1g
Total Carbs 20g

Cut chicken thigh fillets into 3cm/1.5 inch chunks.

Slice onion, crush garlic & finely slice chilli.

Heat a medium saucepan & add a tablespoon olive oil. Add chicken & cook until lightly browned. Remove to a bowl.

Add some more oil & cook onion, garlic, ginger and chilli until onion is soft. Add soy sauce & honey & return chicken & any juices to the pan. Simmer for 10 minutes on med-low heat until sauce reduced.

Serve with stir-fried veges or salad
